🎯 The Role: Finance Lead

We’re hiring a hands-on, ambitious, and execution-oriented Finance Lead to take full ownership of our financial operations.

You’ll work closely with our CEO and Director of Strategy & Operations to ensure the company is operating with clarity, control, and strategic foresight. This is a unique opportunity to shape the finance function from the ground up - with real influence on tools, systems, and ways of working.

🛠 What You’ll Be Doing

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you’ll lead across four core areas:

1.Finance Operations

Oversee day-to-day financial processes: payroll, cash flow, expenses, invoicing, payments

Ensure compliance across jurisdictions and manage reporting for tax, audit, and regulatory needs

Coordinate with external partners - while evolving toward more internal ownership over time

2. Controlling & Reporting

Lead monthly reporting for management and board

Track and communicate performance across key metrics (budget vs. actuals, cash runway, etc.)

Partner cross-functionally to drive financial accountability and transparency

3. Strategic Finance

Own financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning

Support with fundraising materials and capital allocation decisions

Help drive pricing, margin, and unit economics analysis across teams

4.Tools, Systems, and Foundations

Improve and implement scalable finance systems and processes

Help operationalize our ERP (Light.inc) to support integrated financial planning

Shape the early roadmap for growing internal support as needs evolve

✅ What We’re Looking For

You’re a self-starter who wants ownership and thrives in fast-paced, builder environments. You think in terms of structure but work quickly - and you care as much about getting the numbers right as you do about helping the business succeed.

Must-haves:

3–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or strategic finance

(e.g. startup, scale-up, Big 4, VC/PE-backed company)

Strong grasp of budgeting, financial modeling, and reporting

Hands-on experience running operational finance independently

Familiarity with modern tools like Xero, Pleo, or similar

Excellent communication and prioritization skills

Fluent in English 

Nice-to-haves:

Experience in a Series A/B-stage tech company

Exposure to SaaS or workforce-oriented business models

Experience working with or implementing ERP systems (e.g. Light.inc)
